Meet Christine Chapman
Christine Chapman has been empowering students and guiding her client families through the private school and college admissions processes since 1995. She has coached and guided over 3,000 domestic and international students. She works closely with students and their families to help them find and secure their right educational fit.
In 2012, Christine stepped away from her full-time consulting practice for three years to become the first Director of International Students at a Boston area independent school where she worked in international admissions, college counseling, supported international students and families, and was responsible for SEVIS I-20 documentation and visa procurement assistance. Her role as Director of International Students gave her the opportunity to assist with institutional needs pertaining to international students with the annual fund, student health insurance, host family referrals and school-family-liaison work. She’s grateful for the insights and understanding of what it means to be involved in every aspect of school life–both from the teaching and administrative perspectives.
“Thankful for Christine in our lives. Such a blessing. She has changed a whole generation - kids have opportunities where they may have been hidden. Christine has encouraged and supported and guided so many. We are the lucky few.”
Christine is a serial volunteer, and has served in numerous capacities for her professional association, the IECA over the years: as Chair of the IECA Schools Committee, as a participating member of the IECA credentialing task force for schools consulting, as a member of the Membership Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee for the Independent Educational Consultants Association. As an active parent, she was a board member for The Cape Cod Montessori School, vice-president and secretary of The Sandwich Montessori Enrichment and Assistance Fund, and has served as co-VP on the Hopkins School PTA, the Elmwood School PTA and was the parent liaison to the superintendent for the HPTA. She has also served as a member of the school councils for Elmwood School, Hopkins School and for Hopkinton High School. She was an active member of the board of directors at The Hopkinton Center for the Arts, heading up the Governance Committee, the Development Committee and launching the Teen Advisory Board. She has also served on HCA’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee.
"Christine offered great feedback, helped me cut down my college essay and brainstorm ideas for supplements! It wasn’t stressful at all and made me feel much more confident in my applications."
Christine is a graduate of the Sacred Heart School of Montreal and Skidmore College, and remains in pursuit of her master's degree at Harvard University. She is a single mom who spends as much of her free time as possible with her children and dog. She is committed to the arts and music, enjoys walking the local state parks and beaches, is an enthusiastic yogi with 500 hours of yoga teacher training, and is thrilled to have begun a new non-profit vision: the College Axis Project. She is grateful to be pursuing her vision and passion to make educational enrichment, empowerment programs and college counseling available to all.
"Christine's professional and personal support made ALL THE DIFFERENCE to my daughter and our family during the college process. Can't be more THRILLED with her acceptances and feel so fortunate that she got into her top choice!
