CHRISTINE'S STORY
It started at seventeen
When Christine was 17, a financial crisis moved her family to South Korea. Starting over in a new country, she began working beside her mother in educational consulting, and found the work she would build her life around.
She went on to found Chapman Education. Today she works with families from every background, from high-profile households to first-generation students, with the same belief: the process should build the student, not just the application.
Christine is also a certified life coach and a 500-hour registered yoga teacher. She brings that patience and presence to every conversation with students and parents.

The people beside your student
Christine Chapman-Fierz
Founder and Principal
Christine has been an educational consultant since 1991 and has guided more than 5,000 students. In 2012 she became the first Director of International Students at a Boston-area independent school. In her three years there, she gained an insider's view of teaching and school administration.
Service has always been part of her work. Christine founded and led The College Axis Project from 2021 until it closed its doors at the end of 2025. She has also held volunteer leadership roles with the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), the Hopkinton Center for the Arts, the Hopkinton, MA public schools and Montessori schools on Cape Cod. Each year, she commits to working with underrepresented students to help them access higher education.
A graduate of Skidmore College with graduate study at Harvard, Christine is an author, musician and yogi. She is a devoted mother and newly remarried wife. She is passionate about making educational enrichment and counseling available to all, and about supporting divorced parents through single parenting, remarriage and blending families.
Grace Mitchell
College Counselor
Grace joined the Chapman Education counseling team after spending two years as an early childhood educator and working in a law office. She’s thrilled to be supporting middle and high school students as they navigate the teenage years preparing for the college process. Grace received her bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College where she studied philosophy and played ultimate frisbee, which she states “is way cooler than it sounds!”
Grace has extensive experience as a writing tutor and especially enjoys helping young writers develop individuality and style in their writing. In her free time, Grace enjoys photography, reading science fiction, and clicker training her two cats, Rigby and Finch.
Myra Korin
Director of Communications and Programming
Myra transitioned from a lengthy career as a paralegal in the private legal and banking sectors to a fulfilling career in education. She worked as a special educator in a public school and later as a school administrator in the Admissions Office of a private independent school in the Boston area.
Myra enjoys supporting students as they navigate their educational journeys. In her free time, she enjoys reading, fine dining, and a glass of white wine by Mirror Lake.
Celia Chapman
Marketing Lead and Consulting Associate
Celia is a student of Political Science and Economics at the University of Vermont (Honors College). At UVM, she serves as a Senator for the Student Government Association (SGA) and is a member of the Sexual Violence Prevention Committee.
Having grown up with the business, Celia has worked with Christine since 2020 and has experience tutoring English, introductory Economics and is also well-versed in the test prep landscape.
In her free time, Celia enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends, listening to and making music, and DJing.
